OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES
BY ENTERING AND PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT (1) FULLY AND UNCONDITIONALLY AGREES TO ACCEPT AND BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES AND BY ALL DECISIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL BLUEGRASS MUSIC ASSOC. (“IBMA”), WHICH DECISIONS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DECISIONS REGARDING ELIGIBILITY, WINNERS AND THE INTERPRETATION OF THE TERMS USED IN THESE OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES, SHALL BE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL RESPECTS; AND (2) REPRESENTS AND WARRANTS THAT ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY ENTRANT IN CONNECTION WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS TRUE, ACCURATE AND COMPLETE AS OF THE DATE OF ENTRY.

No purchase necessary. This Sweepstakes is open to any individual who is at the time of entry (a) a legal resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia (excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions) (the “Eligibility Area”); and (b) 21 years of age or older. VOID OUTSIDE OF THE ELIGIBILITY AREA AND WHERE OTHERWISE TAXED, PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Employees of IBMA, its affiliated agencies, sponsors, and members of the immediate families or households of such employees are not eligible.

LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON/HOUSEHOLD PER DAY. Multiple daily entries by a single entrant are VOID. Prize is not redeemable for cash and is not transferable. No trip will be purchased for a winner who declines the prize. Void where prohibited or restricted. Trip must be taken September 30-October 3, 2010.

Trip winner and guest must be 21 years of age or older and, where permitted by law, will be required to sign and return a liability/publicity release form and/or a completed IRS W-9 form prior to travel. All federal, state and local taxes on the prize are winner's sole responsibility. By accepting the prize, winner waives the right to assert as a cost of winning said prize, any and all costs of redemption or travel to redeem said prize and any and all liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking said prize. It is winner's sole responsibility to arrange transportation to and from the event location in Nashville, Tennessee, The Nashville Convention Center and hotel property.


Prizes: One (1) grand prize will be awarded. Winner will be selected at random and shall receive admission for two to the IBMA Awards Show and Bluegrass Fan Fest in Nashville, Tennessee for 3 days/3 nights, including accommodations for two based on double occupancy in Nashville, Tennessee; two VIP tickets to IBMA Awards show; two weekend passes to IBMA Fan Fest; $500.00 travel/expense stipend; and World of Bluegrass related merchandise (merchandise selection at the discretion of IBMA). The total approximate retail value of the grand prize to be awarded is $1400.00 USD. The value of the prizes set forth above represents IBMA’s good-faith determination of the maximum retail value thereof.

One (1) second place prize will be awarded. Winner will be selected at random and shall receive admission for two to the IBMA Awards Show and Bluegrass Fan Fest in Nashville, Tennessee for 3 days, including two VIP tickets to the IBMA Awards Show; two weekend passes to IBMA Fan Fest; and World of Bluegrass related merchandise (merchandise selection at the discretion of IBMA). The total approximate retail value of the second prize to be awarded is $400.00 USD.

Three (3) third place prizes will be awarded. Winners will be selected at random and shall receive admission for two to Bluegrass Fan Fest in Nashville, Tennessee, including two passes to Bluegrass Fan Fest; and World of Bluegrass related merchandise (merchandise selection at the discretion of IBMA). The total approximate retail value of the third place prizes to be awarded is $200.00 USD each.

To enter, go to the participating artist websites (list can be provided by IBMA upon request), click on the sweepstakes link for the IBMA promotion, complete the online entry form by entering your name, email address, complete mailing address, day/evening telephone numbers, date-of-birth, and click "submit" to enter the sweepstakes. Entries received through the Web Site must be received by 6:00 p.m. CST on Friday, September 3, 2010. To send a sweepstakes entry by postal mail, print your name, complete mailing address, email address, day/evening telephone numbers, date-of-birth and the words “IBMA Sweepstakes” on a 3x5 card and mail to IBMA, 2 Music Circle South Ste. 100, Nashville, TN 37203. All entries must be received by 6:00 p.m. CST on Friday, September 3, 2010. All entries received by IBMA after the end of the Sweepstakes Period will be discarded and deemed VOID. In the event of a dispute, all email entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the email account from which they were sent. All entries become the property of the sponsor and will not be returned.

Winners will be determined in a random drawing from all sweepstakes entries on or about September 9, 2010, by IBMA, whose decisions will be final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning are determined by and depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. The use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed or like methods (including without limitation the use of any promotion/sweepstakes subscription, notification, entry or like sites or service that offers sweepstakes entry services “on behalf of” entrant) is strictly prohibited. If you attempt to enter the Sweepstakes in a manner other than as permitted in these Official Rules, then upon discovery thereof by IBMA, your entry will be deemed void and ineligible and you may be disqualified from further participation in the Sweepstakes. Proof of entering Sweepstakes online will not be deemed by IBMA to constitute proof of delivery or receipt of entry. No changes to any entry materials or information will be permitted once submitted.

Inability of IBMA to contact a potential winner, or return of IBMA emails or prize notification as “undeliverable” for any reason, may result in disqualification of such potential winner and selection of an alternate winner from among all remaining eligible entries. IBMA reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute with either the cash value of the applicable prize that would otherwise have been awarded, or a prize or prizes of equal or greater value, in the event that (i) such prize is unavailable, or (ii) the winner is unable to receive, accept or assume responsibility for the prize for any reason.

Neither IBMA, nor the sweepstakes sponsors (the “Sponsors”) are responsible for late, lost, incomplete, stolen, ineligible or misdirected mail entries. Facsimiles or mechanical reproductions will not be accepted. IBMA and the Sponsors assume no responsibility for cancellation of the Sweepstakes due to labor strike, terrorism, industry conditions, commercial viability, or any other cause beyond IBMA’s reasonable control. No responsibility is assumed by IBMA or the Sponsors for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, mutilated, postage-due, illegible, unreadable, inaccurate, incorrect, inaccessible, corrupted or unusable online entries; incorrect or inaccurate online or printed information relating to the Sweepstakes (including typographical errors); any computer, telephone, cable, network, satellite, server, service provider, electronic, power, or Internet or other hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections or availability; data loss or late or incorrect data processing; Internet traffic congestion; service provider/Internet/Site inaccessibility, unavailability or malfunction; garbled or jumbled transmissions; or unauthorized human intervention. Although IBMA and the Sweepstakes Entities attempt to ensure the integrity of the Sweepstakes, neither the IBMA nor the Sweepstakes Sponsors are responsible for the actions of entrants or other individuals in connection with the Sweepstakes, including entrants’ or other individuals’ attempts to circumvent these Official Rules or otherwise interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes.

Without limiting any other provision of these Official Rules, IBMA reserves the right, at any time and in its sole discretion, to disqualify and/or deem ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes, any individual it suspects: have compromised the integrity of the Sweepstakes or to have tampered with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; to have failed to agree to these Official Rules; to be in violation of these Official Rules; to be acting in bad faith, or in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or to be annoying, abusing, threatening or harassing any other person in connection with the Sweepstakes. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE THE SITE OR TAMPER WITH OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AS WELL AS CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. IF IBMA BELIEVES OR BECOMES AWARE THAT SUCH AN ATTEMPT HAS BEEN, IS BEING OR WILL BE MADE, IBMA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES FROM ANY RESPONSIBLE ENTRANT(S) AND OTHER RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUAL(S) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANT AGREES TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD IBMA AND THE SWEEPSTAKES SPONSORS HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LOSSES, DAMAGES, RIGHTS, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY, OR RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, AS WELL AS CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY. ENTRANT ALSO ACKNOWLEDGES THEY HAVE READ THE IBMA PRIVACY POLICY POSTED ON COMPANY'S WEBSITE AND ACCEPT THE TERMS SET FORTH THEREIN.

IBMA CONTROLS AND OPERATES THIS SWEEPSTAKES FROM OUR OFFICE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. THE SUBSTANTIVE LAWS (AS DISTINGUISHED FROM THE CHOICE OF LAW RULES) OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA APPLICABLE TO CONTRACTS MADE AND PERFORMED ENTIRELY IN TENNESSEE AND WHERE THE RELEVANT CONTACTS ARE WITH SUCH STATE SHALL GOVERN (i) THE VALIDITY AND INTERPRETATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES; (ii) THE PERFORMANCE BY ENTRANT AND IBMA OF THEIR RESPECTIVE OBLIGATIONS HEREUNDER; AND (iii) ALL OTHER CAUSES OF ACTION (WHETHER SOUNDING IN CONTRACT OR IN TORT) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SWEEPSTAKES.

IBMA AND THE SPONSORS MAKE NO WARRANTIES, AND HEREBY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, CONCERNING ANY PRIZE FURNISHED OR MADE AVAILABLE IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES. IN NO EVENT WILL IBMA OR THE SPONSORS BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF ANY ACCESS TO AND/OR USE OF THE WEB SITE, OR THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF, OR ANY HARM RESULTING FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF, OR PARTICIPATION IN, ANY PRIZE AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES.

ANY ACTION AGAINST IBMA OR ANY SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH OR RELATED TO THESE SWEEPSTAKES MUST BE BROUGHT WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ARISES.

The failure of IBMA to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision contained in these Official Rules is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unlawful, invalid, or for any reason unenforceable, the parties nevertheless agree that portion shall be construed consistent with applicable law as nearly as possible to reflect the original intention of IBMA, and that provision of these Official Rules shall be deemed severable from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
